I'm sorry to hear about the passing of Dr. Walker. She was my instructor and my DNPChair at JSU. An amazing instructor. Condolences to her family.
I met Laura in nursing school and we worked together for years on the child and adolescent unit at Mountain View Hospital. Laura had a zest for life and a wonderful laugh. Laura was a fantastic nurse, co-worker and friend who loved patient care, educating and mentoring her student nurses. My thoughts and prayers are with her husband, Danny, her children and her extended family she loved so deeply. Laura, you were born to be a light and will continue to be a light in the lives you touched. Rest easy sweet girl until we meet again. Susan Dodson Williams
Thank you, Dr. Walker, for the time, patience, knowledge, and compassion you poured into your patients and JSU Students (including me as I worked towards my BSN-DNP) during your career.
We're lifting your family up in our prayers that they may feel just as loved as comforted as you made all of us feel.

She had left Mountain View to teach at JSU not long before I started working as a tech at Mountain View while I went back to school at JSU to be a nurse. She was my psych professor & a mentor, not just to me, but so many students at JSU. She was so passionate about mental health & the safety of the patients. She is part of the reason I'm a psych NP today. You could talk to her about anything & I always loved her paintings she'd share on Facebook. She has always been such a light. She is going to be greatly missed ♥️
I offer my deepest sympathy to the family and friends at the loss of your loved one, who made a positive difference in the lives she touched. May God surround each one of you with compassion, loving-kindness, inner-strength and peace.
You made your way to Heaven now. My heart aches already and I miss you more than I could ever begin to express. You literally was an angel on earth. I love you so much and I will see you soon. Give dad a big hug for me. 💜
My most beautiful precious aunt I love you with all my heart. I will miss you with every fiber of my being. I will see you soon. 😘
