Dan helped us with many house projects over the years. A kitchen refresh and a full kitchen remodel about four years ago. I got to know him over the months of the projects, and always enjoyed our trips to Home Depot to look for parts. Heard so many hunting stories, stories about his wife, his sons, and his life. We enjoyed getting to know him. Rest easy, friend!
My favorite memory is when he flew from Colorado to see his brother(my father) for his birthday. We got a big box and put it in the living room with Dan inside. When my dad opened the box to find him it was honestly the most touching experience to see the two of them so happy to be together after years of being apart. They are together again and I envision that greeting in heaven when he left this earth.
