Our Caretaker, Carol always spoke of Alan as a generous and giving person. I witnessed this first place when he came to my rescue several years ago. He didn't know me from Adam, but he and Aaron went out of their way to get my car in New Hope one afternoon. I still remember riding over with these two hilarious men. He seemed never to meet a stranger and always willing to help anyone. That is a gift that is Godsent. I grew to know him through Carol, who after many years rekindled their love in her undying care for him until he went to heaven in peace at last. She gave her all to him; unlike most people that are married and then divorced. Forgiveness starts in the heart and they were able to be together again until his last breath. That gives us all something to think about when we take our vows;" in sickness and in health". They lived this promise to one another and it says so much about real love between two people and what they are willing to do for one another. He will be remembered and loved by so many including me....
