Mr. Willis George Dick's Obituary
Mr. Willis George Dick, age 77 of Franklin, GA, passed away peacefully Tuesday,
December 2 nd at Tanner Hospital in Carrollton, GA. He was born August 18, 1948 in Roanoke, Alabama to the late Sylvesta “Rufus” Dick and Agnes Toney Dick.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sarah, 2 brothers (J.G. and Grant), and a son Timothy.
A Master Carpenter, Willis built and remodeled many homes in the West Georgia area
and had a reputation as a quality craftsman. But the most important thing to him was his relationship with Jehovah God. He dedicated his life to Him and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on May 15 th , 1964. Even after 2 strokes, he was rarely missing from the meetings at the Kingdom Hall.
He also loved his family deeply. He bragged on his children, grandchildren, nieces, and
nephews every chance he got. We are comforted in knowing he is no longer suffering and is safe in Jehovah’s memory. We look forward to seeing him again with his full, youthful strength in God’s New World (Revelation 21: 3,4). Hopefully we will be able to keep up with him!
He leaves to cherish his memory; a son Wayland (Angie) Dick of Douglasville, GA; a
daughter Adrienne (Jake) Hand of Hogansville, GA; a daughter Lynn (Alvin) Bolan of Temple, GA; a son Randy (Alicia) Richardson of Temple, GA; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a sister Joyce (Buddy) Synoground of Franklin, GA; Marie Raspotnik of Carrollton, GA; a sister Rita Faye Combest; many nieces and nephews; many spiritual brothers and sisters; and his faithful feline companion Tom.
The family wishes to thank all the wonderful nurses, doctors, and staff of
Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton who took such great care of Pops during his final days.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 3 at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of
Jehovah’s Witnesses 12146 SR-100 Franklin, GA 30217.
