William "Bill" H. Boothe III, 68, passed from this life into his eternal life on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
Bill was born in Lee County Hospital on July 21, 1956, and lived in the Opelika area all his life. Father God must have been in a great mood that day because the most loving, caring, and giving man was born! Bill graduated from Opelika High School in 1974.
He was truly a "jack of all trades'. Bill, Sherry, Angela, and Andrew moved to Beauregard in 1982. He worked at Turner Tire, H & W Tire, Story's on Geneva, Independent Life Ins., and American General Life Insurance until he became disabled.
Bill, and his wife Sherry, are members of Calvary Baptist Church in Lanett, Alabama where they made many friends and served the lord faithfully. Bill served as a deacon of the church and enjoyed every moment of fellowship with his fellow parishioners.
Bill is survive by his wife Sherry of 48 years, his daughter Angela (Omar) Taylor, and his son Andrew Boothe, along with his 6 grandchildren, Nate, Nick, and Harper Boothe, Donovan, Addison and Madison Taylor. He is also survived by his brothers Bob Boothe and John Coker; his sisters Sharon Penley and Beth Long; plus a host of nieces, nephews. God-children and "other" children.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Betty Boothe and William Boothe Jr.; father and mother-in-law Wilbur & Francine Green; sister-in-law Michelle Aurit; brother-in-law Paul Daniel; and nephew Dean Williams.
A celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2025, 12 noon EST at Calvary Baptist Church, Lanett, Alabama. All family and friends are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the American Kidney Foundation or to Calvary Baptist Church, Lanett, Alabama.
