Valerie Mullenax's Obituary
On Monday, April 2, 2020, Valerie Mullenax loving (Mama to two girls, and Nana to three grandchildren) passed away at the age of 55 with her loving daughters and special friend at her side at the Northeast Regional Medical Center, Anniston Alabama.
Valerie was born on August 21, 1964 in Oneida, NY to Shirley Ortman. She graduated from Deruyter School in 1983. She married Calvin Mullenax on September 17, 1983 in Sheds NY. The love of her life Calvin passed away on September 28, 2015. In her short time here she became a wonderful “Mama” to Alison and Ann Marie. She then became a wonderful “Nana” to Jasmine, Bradly and Lily. Family was everything to Valerie. She loved her church Bonny Brook Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Alabama. She loved her four legged babies and parakeet Lacey.
She leaves behind her loving daughter Alison and husband Jay Harman, her daughter Ann Marie and fiancé Fred Gravette as well as her three cherished grandbabies Jasmine and Bradly Temple and Lily Mullenax of Jacksonville, Alabama. She is survived by her mother Shirley Ortman. Siblings, Lisa (Bill) Miller, Brenda Ortman, Lori Wilcox, Becky (John) Luther. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. God blessed her with Madison, Kristyana, and Makenzie as though they were her own grandchildren. She was predeceased by brother in laws Andrew Bruno and Patrick Wilcox.
The family would like to thank the entire ICU staff at Northeast Regional Medical Center, Anniston, Alabama for their kindness and compassion that was given to Valerie during her stay.
Because of the Covid-19 Pandemic, services will be held at the convenience of the family. Services have been entrusted to Cremation Services of East Alabama Inc. Anniston Alabama.
