Tracye Lynne Crooker's Obituary
Mrs. Tracye Lynne Crooker, 59, of Fayetteville TN, went to be with the LORD on Friday, April 10, 2020 after a long illness. Born in Birmingham, AL on June 21, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Donald Harrington and Barbara Harrington.
“The class that’s great is 78”, She was a graduate of Deep Creek High School, of Chesapeake VA and a proud member of the Deep Creekers of the 60’s and 70’s Alumnus Association. GO HORNETS!
She attended Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and New River Community College (NRCC) working towards her B.S. in Business.
She was the president and proud member of Phi Beta Lambda (business club) at both schools where she excelled as a student and as a fierce friend to everyone she met.
Her 33+ year career as an Administrative Assistant/Secretary had her serve at great schools like Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (Virginia Tech), Blacksburg VA; University of Mary Washington, Fredericksburg VA; Central Georgia Technical College, Macon GA; Middle Georgia Technical College, Warner Robins GA; and Macon State College, Macon GA. She also worked for Charter Communications, Radford VA; Transprints USA, Harrisonburg VA; City of Chesapeake Community Services Board, Chesapeake VA; Kaufman & Canoles Law Firm; Global America; M. Loeb Corporation; and Armada Hoffler Inc.
She was beginning her second career as a Realtor for Weichert Realtors – The Space Place, Huntsville Alabama, when she took ill.
Tracye loved the LORD, her family and friends, sweet tea, chocolate ice-cream, long trips to the mountains or to the sea on a motorcycle, dancing, hiking, all types of music, black and white movies, her great-grandparents farm in Cullman AL, cotton and did I mention, SWEET TEA!
She is survived by her husband Andrew Crooker, her three sons Bobby and Brian Browning of Lexington KY, Brandon Browning of Clinton SC; two brothers Tim Harrington of Springville TN, and Todd Harrington of Chesapeake VA; a sister Tonya Harrington Pasciak of Chapin SC; seven grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will have a celebration of life ceremony at a time, date and place TBD.
