Theresa Charlene Talton's Obituary
Theresa Charlene Talton (Riddlespur), age 69 of Glencoe passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 9, 2026.
She was born on September 2, 1956 to Mamie and Tom Riddlespur. Theresa was 1 of 12 children.
Theresa’s pride and joy were her granddaughters and her great grandchildren. She always enjoyed visits with them and countless memories they made together when her girls were younger. She was a member of the Salvation Army Baptist Church for years and was saved and dedicated her life to the lord as a child. Theresa loved a good yardsale or thrift store when she was still able to get out and go. She was goofy and a cut up. She had a green thumb and a love for flowers, plants, birds, and nature. She was a light to all those who knew and loved her and her legacy will live on through the people who loved her the most.
She was preceded in death by her son James Michael Talton, mother Mamie Lee Machen, father Tom Riddlespur, brothers Teddy Riddlespur, Billy Riddlespur, Danny Wayne Riddlespur, Julius Riddlespur, Tommy Riddlespur, and Donald Riddlespur.
She is survived by her daughter Kim(Michael) Moon, her granddaughters Ashlyn(Ben) Buckelew, Chloe(Hunter) Talton who she raised as her own, Emrey(Anthony) Miller, Addyson Talton, and her great grandchildren Reese and Rory Buckelew, Elikai Talton, and Jasper Miller. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters Robin(Tracy) Machen, Joey Machen, Martha (Gary) Lipscomb, Barbara Dothard, Tammy(Brian) Mayben and a host of nieces and nephews including her chosen son Nathan Machen.
Theresa was strong in her faith and is now resting in the arms of Jesus healed from the body that failed her so long on this earth. Per Theresa’s request there will be no service of any kind and she will be cremated. The family wants to extend a thank you to Gadsden Healthcare for the almost 2 years she was in their care and Enhabit Hospice for the amazing support and guidance they extended at the end of her life.
