Funeral services for Theresa Carol Pounds Mitchell, age 52 of Alexandria, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025, at The Magnolia House at Cremation Services of East Alabama. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service on Friday.
Theresa passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at UAB St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham.
She is survived by her father, Jerry W. Pounds; brother, Jerry Craig Pounds (Kelly); children, Whitney Ray (Cody), Kevin Mitchell, Journi Mitchell (London), and Dylan Mitchell (Tierra-Mishael); grandchildren, Carson Ray, Oakley Ray, and Finlee Ray; nephew, Jackson Pounds; and step mother, Martha Trantham.
Theresa was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Digby Pounds; grandmother, Leslie Hope Digby; grandmother, Melba Pounds; and grandfather, Elbert Burton Pounds.
She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Theresa enjoyed true crime shows and horror movies, and was an Auburn football fan. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
