She is preceded in death by her father, John Dixon Boone & her mother, Mary Ruth Terry Boone. Mrs. Hayes was the pastor’s wife at Church on the Rock. She earned her Doctorate from Seminary in Christian education. She took delight in what God called her to do as a pastor’s wife as well as being a schoolteacher for many years before getting sick. She was servant hearted and a worshipper. She loved everyone unconditionally and sacrificially. She became a full-time intercessor when her sickness took over her life and she prayed fervently for others. Her prayers and legacy still live on in her absence and serve as a testament to her faith. The family invites everyone to a celebration of life reception immediately following the service in the gymnasium next door. The family has requested to have a special time of fellowship and a remembrance of Diane’s life. There will be an open mic for anyone to briefly share about Diane’s influence in their life and what she meant to them as well as a place to drop off a card of what Diane meant to them or condolences to the family. Finger foods will be provided. Diane had a special place in her heart to see Bibles donated in the event of someone’s death. She felt that when the Word went forth, the possibilities could have eternal impact. So in lieu of flowers the family please request that donations be made to Church on the Rock earmarked “Diane’s Bible fund.” Cards or donations can also be mailed to 517 Rowan St Anniston AL 36201
