Terry Cleveland Boyd's Obituary
Mr. Terry Cleveland Boyd, age 72 of Rome, Georgia passed away on January 18, 2025. Terry was born in Rome, Georgia on February14, 1952 to the late J.B. Boyd and Christine Bolt Boyd. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Troy Boyd; sister-in-law, Shirley Boyd; a brother-in-law, Harry Williams; and an infant brother, Tony Boyd.
Terry is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Tina P. Boyd; his daughter, Kristin Kim; a son-in-law, Mike Kim; granddaughter Madelyn Kim; and a sister, Glenda Williams, along several nieces, a nephew, great-nephews, and a great-niece.
In his early years Terry was in the Army Reserves for 6 years and also worked for Jack Gresham in home building and pallet manufacturing. Later, he was a partner and owner of his own pallet manufacturing business, Chattooga Wood Products, for several years. He also was an owner / operator along with his father of B & B Trucking for 17 years. While in the trucking industry he became a skilled diesel mechanic, and worked as a self-employed mechanic until his retirement.
Terry was a good friend to many. If anyone needed help or something to be fixed, he was there for them. He loved to joke and laugh and had a mischievous side. Terry will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
