Sherer Ann Guinn McKenzie's Obituary
Sherer Ann Guinn McKenzie, 72, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2022, at her home in Ohatchee, AL, after a battle with cancer. A private family gathering will be held later, honoring her wishes.
Ms McKenzie is survived by her son, Stuart Wilkins (Missy) of Miramar Beach, FL; and three grandchildren: Ava Wilkins, Stuart Chandler Wilkins, and Ashton Horton (Natasha); and two beloved pets, Mollie and Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Cook and Ann (Sherer) Guinn, Jr., and her brother, James Cook Guinn III.
Sherer was born in Birmingham, AL, where she lived and worked as a medical office administrator most of her life. She moved permanently to her weekend home in Ohatchee, AL, in 2016. She loved living peacefully on the lake with her two “girls,” as she referred to her pets.

Southern Care New Beacon Hospice (especially Amber); Southside Pharmacy, Dr. Tamara McIntosh, Karing Hands, LLC, Macie and Blaine Eubanks, and Kathy Harvey. We also thank Cremation Services of East Alabama for handling final arrangements and services for the family.
