Sara Smart Wheeler Smith of Anniston
December 2, 1939 – March 14, 2020
Memorial service will be held at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, 8794 Choccolocco Road, Anniston, AL, on Tuesday, March 17 at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Josh Copeland and Bishop Charles Hanson officiating. Burial will be private.
Mrs. Smith was a native of Piedmont, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas “Lon” and Kathryn Smart; her first husband, Morgan Eugene “Pete” Wheeler; and six brothers: Fred, Roy, Carl, Thomas, Norris, and Clark Smart.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Bobby Smith of 15 years; stepchildren, Donna Farmer, Cathy Ray (Sam), Ronald Smith (Teresa) all of Piedmont and Susan Hanson (Charles) of Griffin, GA; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beauty for Ashes, 4608 Hollingsworth Road, Jacksonville, AL 36265.
