Sandra June Herren's Obituary
Sandra June Herren, age 72, of Woodland, Alabama, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on January 26, 1954, Sandra was the beloved daughter of Johnnie Holloway and Joyce H Watts. She was a devoted wife to Frankie Herren and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy in life was her family.
Sandra is survived by her children, Johnny Cook (Vickeye) and Samantha Harris (Bill); her beloved sister, Lisa Nolen Arrington; her treasured grandchildren, Mickenzi Cook, Hughston Cook (Melissa), Jason Harris, Addison Harris, Claire Harris, and Finn Harris; and her adored great-grandchildren, Zoey McCormick, Johnny McCormick, and Frankie Cook.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, sister Glynda Parks and brothers Tony Weaver and Donald Hollaway.
Sandra worked for many years in clerical services, where she was known for her kindness, dedication, and warm spirit. Outside of work, she loved spending time playing guitar with her friends, sharing laughter and music with those around her. More than anything, Sandra loved “her babies,” and she never missed an opportunity to love, support, and care for her family.
To know Sandra was to love her. Her gentle heart, welcoming smile, and caring nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She had a way of making people feel at home, and her love and light will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A memorial service honoring Sandra’s life will be held at Big Springs Baptist Church on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with Bro. Scott Hannah officiating.
Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in the memories she gave us, the music she shared, and the love she poured into her family every single day. Her legacy of kindness and devotion will live on through all who loved her.
