Robert Brandon Rhodes' Obituary
A Celebration of Life service for Robert Brandon Rhodes, age 54, will be held at Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Gadsden 4:30 PM on Sunday, July 9, 2023. Visitation will proceed the service from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the church. His cousin, Pastor Jason McAbee, will officiate with family and friends speaking.
Brandon passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.
He is survived by his children, Joshua Cole Rhodes and Molli Elizabeth Rhodes; parents, Jim and Deb Rhodes; siblings, Charles Dustin Rhodes and his wife, Tessa Nicole Rhodes, and Elizabeth Rhodes Ison and her husband, Shane Kelly Ison; along with several nieces and nephews.
Brandon was born in Anniston, Alabama, on December 14, 1968. He was a graduate of Bob Jones High School where he was named co-MVP of Madison County in baseball his junior year and played in the state tournament and the All-Star game his senior year. He was awarded a baseball scholarship at Wallace State Community College. He was a great athlete and had a love for sports, especially baseball. Brandon was an entrepreneur, holding a master’s degree and attended the University of North Alabama where he was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. He remained close to his Phi Gamma Delta brothers. He was an Alabama fan. Brandon appreciated great music and was a joy to be around. He was a devoted father, Christian, and a wonderful son and brother. His family was his world. Brandon was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either St Judes children's research hospital or DAV, Disabled American Veterans.
