Robert Wayne Deese's Obituary
Robert Wayne Deese (better known as “Bobby Wayne”) grabbed his guitar and caught the last train for the coast on the morning of March 12, 2026.
Wayne came into the world on December 11, 1959 to parents Robert and Joyce Deese. He then became a Big Brother to siblings Tim and Tabatha, before becoming Husband to Cindy, and Daddy to Michelle and Joshua. Finally, he landed his dream gig of being Paw-Paw (PoPo) to Archer, Jase and Jasper. Wayne was a hard worker and put his entire soul into providing for those he loved.
Retired from Honda Manufacturing, you could find him spending his days tending to what he lovingly referred to as his “Redneck Container Garden at the Bynum B & B” or arm-chair coaching Alabama Softball and Football. An avid fisherman earlier in life, fish feared him, but frogs loved him. There wasn’t much of anything that he couldn’t build, paint or draw with his hands. A lover of music, good food, good deals, fast cars, and arguing politics- his sense of humor was a rare gem, his storytelling was brilliant and his comedic timing legendary. But above all, his heart and integrity made him a man of greatness.
Survived by his daughter Michelle Deese Bain (Craig), son Joshua Deese; grandchildren Archer Bain, Jase and Jasper Deese; brother Tim Deese and sister Tabatha Deese.
Mr. Deese is preceded in death by his parents Robert T. and Joyce Deese, grandparents Dart and Vida Deese and Adell Barksdale, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins who he all loved dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026 in the Magnolia House at Cremation Services of East Alabama, beginning at 2 pm.
