Rob M. Hill Jr.'s Obituary
Rob M. Hill Jr., age 75, of Wedowee, Alabama, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026. Born on February 23, 1951, to Bill and Irene Hill, Rob lived a life defined by dedication to his family, his faith, and his work.
Rob proudly served his country for 3 years in the United States Army as an E-4 Specialist and later as a Sergeant of Arms in Germany. Following his military service, he built a lasting career in the fencing industry in Atlanta, Georgia with Chamblee Fence Company, where he worked faithfully until his retirement in 2012. He later dedicated himself to restoring his Wedowee home and took great pride in meticulously caring for his lawn—something that brought him immense joy.
He found his greatest joy in time spent with his family, gardening, playing the guitar, fishing and hunting alongside his son, and spending time with his family and friends around campfires while listening to country music.
Rob is survived by his wife, Anne Hill; his children, Roby Hill III., Sandra Hill and Samantha Hill; his step-daughters, Lucile Price, Maryann Price, Mashelle Price and Sallina Price; his sister, Diane Vieilleux; 24 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roby “Bill” Hill Sr. and Irene Hill; his brother, Pete Hill; and his sister, Trenda Hill.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Sallina Price, his devoted granddaughter, as well as SouthernCare New Beacon and nurses Michelle, Alexis, and Ann, for the compassionate care and support shown during his time of need.
