Phillip Stanley Byrd's Obituary
Phillip Stanley Byrd, 75 of DeArmanville, Alabama passed away on June 17, 2026
following an unexpected illness with his family by his side.
He was born in Anniston, Al on July 26, 1950 to Lloyd and Wilma Smith Byrd.
He was a member of Golden Springs Baptist Church and attended the Fulmer-
Sparks Sunday School class.
He attended DeArmanville Schools and graduated in 1968 from Oxford High
School. After graduating he took the welding course at Ayers Technical College.
He worked at Alabama Coca-Cola Company, Anniston Army Depot, and retired
from Lee Brass.
Stanley was a collector of Confederate guns and swords. Some of his collection is
on display at Janney Furnace and The Berman Museum. He also repaired guns for
people throughout the county and state.
He and his late wife Sharon, boarded horses on their farm and made life long
friends in providing this service.
He is survived by his companion, Leah Davis, his brother Dwight Byrd (Sue), niece
Angelia Weams (Britt), his aunt Carolyn Cantrell, his adopted grandson Chase
Denham, numerous cousins and many life friends.
He is proceeded by his wife, Sharon Kramer Byrd, his parents Lloyd and Wilma,
baby sister Sheila Agnes Byrd and both paternal and maternal grandparents.
Stanley loved the Lord, his family and friends with all his heart. He had an
infectious laugh that would bring laughter to everyone around him.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2026 at Golden Springs
Baptist Church with visitation at 1:00 pm and service at 2:00 pm. Dr. Roland
Brown, his pastor and dear friend will be conducting the services.
