Phillip Burton's Obituary
The family of Philip Burton (62) is saddened to announce his passing on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at his home. He was born in Etowah County on August 16, 1957. He resided in the Pleasant Valley Community in Jacksonville, Alabama.
Phil was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was known as a person who would do anything for anyone. He was a lifelong Alabama Football fan. One of the cherished memories his family has of him is cheering on the Tide with all family and friends in his shed. RTR!
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Gina Burton, son Kevin (Elwood) Burton, daughter-in-law Ginny Burton; granddaughter Madilynn Burton, sister Clara Hotaling, several sisters and brothers-in-law, numerous nephews, nieces and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nollie and Laura Bell Burton, his parents-in-law, Charles and Nellie Johnson, his brother-in-law Michael Johnson and nephew Jeffrey Parker.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will host a luncheon in his honor at his home on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 1:00 pm.
