Paul Weems' Obituary
Paul Weems, age 77, went to his heavenly home on April 7, 2026 at RMC Hospital in Anniston, AL.
Paul was born in Calhoun County to E.D. and Lillian Weems on July 3, 1948. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1970 as a jet engine mechanic. He worked at Southwire in Carrollton, GA for 35 years and retired from there in 2005.
He loved his family and his grandsons, but the light of his life was his garden. He could tell you how to plant tomatoes, peppers, corn, beans, and okra. He always had plenty of vegetables to give to friends and neighbors. He loved to feed his friends at East Heflin Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Weems, his son, Terry Weems, his daughter, Amanda (Kirby) Swenson, and grandsons, Alex, Jacob, and Micah Swenson. Other surviving family include sister-in-law Nancy (Randy) Haynes, sister-in-law Teena Cheatwood, brother-in-law Ronnie (Sandra) Cheatwood, and nephew Dennis (Tina) Turner.
Graveside services will be at Forest Lawn Garden in Golden Springs on April 13 at 11:00 am. Rev. Timothy Swafford to officiate.
