Orbie Gene Dabbs Jr.'s Obituary
A memorial service honoring the life of Orbie Gene Dabbs, Jr., 57 of Munford will be held on Saturday, April 1st, from 1-3 PM at the Senior Center, 105 Lions Road, Munford, with Ashley Butterworth officiating.
The family will have a personal service for close friends and family at the residence.
Gene passed away on March 25th at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Regina Dabbs, his children, Darrel (Mandi) Yates of Lineville, Danielle (Phillip) Hazel of Alexander City; Candace Webb of Munford; by his sister, Pamela Wallace of Munford; his grandchildren, Zoe (Logan) Gaither, Hannah Hazel, Savannah Yates, Sarah Hazel, Logan Hazel, by his great-grandchildren, Rowyn Yates and Mimzy Gaither. Also surviving him are his nieces and nephews, Ashley Butterworth, Levi Davis, Dion Davis, Richard Smith, Joseph Smith, Crystal Dover, Darla Aucoin, and many more nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and his lifelong friends, Preston Stephens and Anthony Starks.
Gene was a graduate of Munford High School and furthered his education earning several certificates in the field of Machine Mechanics, and currently was a contract vehicle technician and inspector with New Flyer. As a young man he enjoyed fishing and softball and worked at Dabbs Auto Service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orbie Gene Dabbs, Sr of Delta, and Joyce Aline Dabbs of Munford; and by his brother, David Wayne Dabbs of Munford.
