Nan Nunnally Colvin's Obituary
Graveside services for Nan Nunnally Colvin, age 73 of Attalla, will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, 816 New Hope Road, Glencoe, AL 35905. Ms. Colvin passed away on February 15, 2021, at her home.
Nan was born on September 14, 1947, in Gadsden, Alabama. She worked as a corrections officer at Etowah County Detention Center for 10 years and was a hair dresser for 20 years prior. She loved Alabama Crimson Tide football, country music, her grandchildren, and loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, E.C. and Sarah Frances Nunnally; brother, Dennis Mason; and sister, Martha Jean Pruitt.
Nan is survived by her daughter, Tammy Farrington Doster; son, DeWayne Simmons; grandchildren, Chasity Doster (Ray Huey), Josh Simmons and Jakob Simmons (Kaleigh) with a great grandson on the way; brothers, Bobby Nunnally and Edward Mason (Brenda); sister, Nancy King (Bug); brother in law, Ronnie Simmons (Linda); sisters in law, Violet McEntire and Doris Mason; and several nieces and nephews.
