In Loving Memory of Sarah Rachel "Mickey" Cupp Vinson
Mickey Vinson, 85, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.
Born on July 15, 1940 in Alexandria, she lived a life marked by strength, resilience, and devotion to her family. She was an active member of United Fellowship Baptist Church, and The Alexandria Civitan Club. She possessed a strong spirit, a determined nature, and a love for those closest to her that never wavered. Her presence was a constant in the lives of those who knew her, and the memories she created will be treasured for generations to come.
In her final days, she was lovingly cared for by her family. She departed this life peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, perseverance, and faith that will continue through those she leaves behind.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Shed Cupp and Sarah Francis Elizabeth Cupp; husband, Charles Leslie Vinson, her brother, William Junior Cupp; her sisters, Betty Cupp Payne and Mary Nell Cupp Schroth; her brother, Harold Douglas Cupp; and her beloved nephew, Randy Jo Payne.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Elizabeth Clark Stephens, and her grandson, Nickoles Shed Stephens (Kole), along with numerous extended family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Though her earthly journey has come to an end, the love she shared, the lessons she taught, and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who offered prayers, support, and kindness during this difficult time.
Her life will be celebrated by immediate family privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alabama Department of Mental Health in memory of Mickey, supporting services that provide care, hope, and assistance to individuals and families throughout Alabama.
