Michael Ginn's Obituary
Michael Ginn of Jacksonville, AL passed away on February 10, 2026 . He was born on
November 8, 1952, in Anniston, AL. He was a devoted husband to Joni Ginn and a
loving father to Amy Ginn Rey and Sarah Ginn Miller.
Michael is leaving behind a family who adored him. He was a loving husband always by
his wife’s side and proud father of his twin daughters. He never missed an opportunity
to cheer them on, whether in life or from the sidelines. As his family grew, his
grandchildren brought him immeasurable happiness, and he treasured every moment
spent watching them grow. Michael was an intelligent man, who loved to challenge his
mind with a good game of Jeopardy daily. More than anything, he will be remembered
for the way he showed up – consistently, lovingly and wholeheartedly. His presence
spoke louder than words. He leaves behind not only memories, but an enduring
example of dedication, strength and love.
Michael is survived by his wife Joni Ginn, daughters Amy Ginn Rey (Hernan Rey) and
Sarah Ginn Miller, grandchildren Braden and Tyson Miller and Lola, Mila and Benicio
Rey. His siblings Shirley Thompson and Jack Ginn as well as many friends and
extended family. He is preceded in death by his father Pascal Ginn and mother Eulene
Ginn as well as his brother Larry Ginn.
Visitation will be held on February 15, 2026 at 1pm at the Cremation Services of East
Alabama’s chapel in White Plains, AL followed by a memorial service at 2pm.
