Michael Allen Burns' Obituary
Michael Allen Burns, 74 of Bynum died at home after an extended illness. He was baptized at age 12 at Bynum Baptist Church. An avid athlete from childhood playing community sports, Royal Ambassador‘s basketball, tennis, Salvation Army softball & more. He was inducted into the Bowlers Hall of Fame-bowling in many tournaments across the nation. Upon his retirement from Anniston Army Depot he had his own bowling business. Mike attended Jacksonville State University, graduated with first and third class radio license from Career Academy & Elkins Institute, Atlanta, Georgia. He also had a mental health degree from Gadsden State & a realtors license. Mike was a veteran of the US Army serving at Fort Wainwright, Fairbanks, Alaska. He did the army radio broadcasts & enjoyed driving the Colonel to FBC, while he attended Calvary Baptist. Mike never met a stranger & was “a nut”. He enjoyed being with friends, good food, & was quite a chef himself.
Family & friends are invited to gather on Saturday, March 22 at 11 AM, Eastaboga Baptist Cemetery.
