Melanie Lea Deffenbaugh Rogers' Obituary
Melanie Lea Deffenbaugh Rogers, 57 of Eastaboga, AL peacefully entered the Gates of Heaven with her loving husband, Chris by her side on the early morning of July 23, 2026, after a courageous battle with metastatic familial melanoma.
Services for Melanie will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 with visitation at 10 am, and Service at Noon at Jenifer Baptist Church, Munford, AL.
Melanie is survived by her husband, Christopher; daughters, Madison Laymon (Waylon Lett), grandchildren, Landri and Parker Lett; Amber Casey (Anthony) grandchildren, Carter and Caroline; Katlyn Breidenbach (Brandon) grandchildren, Mack, Mavis and Mitchell and Son, James Rogers. Brothers, Curtis Deffenbaugh (Joan) and Roger Deffenbaugh (Jennifer) her fur baby, Baby Girl, and a host of extended family, co-workers and friends.
Melanie is predeceased by her Mother, Myra Freeman Deffenbaugh; Father, Howard
Deffenbaugh (Imogene); sister, Teresa Brady and niece Sklyer Brady.
Melanie was a 1987 graduate of Walter Wellborn High School. She was a dedicated employee at Anniston Orthopedic for over 32 years.
