Mary Helen Parker's Obituary
Ms. Mary Helen Parker, age 75, of Heflin Alabama completed her earthly journey and entered into the presence of the Lord on April 5th, 2025. Ms. Parker was born September 28th, 1949 to Sam and Betty Gamble. Ms. Parker was married to her husband Charlie Parker for 30 years and they raised five children together. Ms. Parker loved making baskets and crocheting, pursuits that brought her joy. Ms. Parker loved her family and her influence will be remembered through the lives she shaped and the memories she leaves behind. Her legacy remains a part of her family's story.
She is preceded in death by her husband Charlie Will Parker, her father Sam Gamble, her mother Betty Franklin Gamble Adams, her step daughter Peggy Harmon, her sisters Gloria “Evelyn” Winfield and Grace Watts, and her brother Robert Gamble.
Ms. Parker is survived by her six children: Susie (Mike) Shepherd of Wedowee, Barbara (Chris) Gunn of Weaver, Betty Jo(Randy) Rich of Jacksonville, Charlie “Bill” (Shelia) Parker of Jacksonville, Samuel Parker of Woodland, Paul (Stacy) Parker of Anniston, her sister Judy (Larry) Shell, daughter in law Lesa Wysner, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She is survived by her significant other Terry Mamak.
Per Ms. Parker's wishes, no formal service will be held. Her family plans to celebrate her life privately at a later time.
