Martha Louise Franklin's Obituary
Martha Louise Franklin, 75, of Anniston, Alabama, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025.
Born on September 8, 1950, in Anniston, Alabama, Martha lived a life filled with kindness, cherished friendships, and the joy of being “Meemaw” to her beloved family. Martha treasured time spent with loved ones and built lasting bonds that will be remembered for generations. She was a devoted member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, where her faith and fellowship were central to her life.
Martha is survived by her children: Dale McVeigh (Lauren), Guy McVeigh, and Stacy Rogers (Matt); her grandchildren: Molly McVeigh, Morgan McVeigh, Hannah Henderson (Devin), Kaitlyn Watson, Grant Watson, Isabel Rogers, Sam McVeigh, and Kelsie McVeigh; her great-grandchildren: Aubrie Watson, Jordin Monroe, Acen Boyd, Aspen Henderson, and Gaige Watson; and her siblings: Eddie Cater (Marsha), Judy Hayden, and Rebecca Wheeler (John). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Betty Cater, her daughter Dianne Bonner, her husband James Edward Franklin (“Tuffy”), and her sister Eleanor Johnson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
