Mark (Gustavo) Mancipinto's Obituary
Mark (Gustavo) Mancipinto, 54, of Jacksonville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2025, following a long, brave struggle with multiple health conditions.
Mark was born April 30, 1971, in Valencia, Venezuela and moved to the United States at an early age, eventually settling down in Jacksonville. Mark worked for Burford’s Tree Surgeons for 23 years. He excelled in his position, took tremendous pride in his work, and formed lifelong friendships.
He loved Alabama football, as well as working on his motorcycle and Beemer. Mark especially cherished any opportunity to attend his son Blake’s band performances. Even in declining health, Mark made every effort to show up for his son’s events and special occasions whenever possible. On some of his most difficult days, he could still be found in the bleachers taking in the high school halftime show or at the heart of a jazz concert featuring Blake.
Mark is survived by his son Jeffrey Blake Lorenzo Mancipinto along with Blake’s mother, Tiffany Onkst Mancipinto, Father and Mother in-law Jeffrey and Sharon Onkst, brother-in-law Bradley Onkst (Lindsay), companion Valerie Lambert, sisters Andrea Mancipinto and Amy Clarke (Robert) and beloved dog Willow. He is preceded in death by his parents Carmen Alley and Donetto Manicipinto, stepfather David Alley, and brother-in-law Brian Onkst.
Mark will forever be missed by all who knew and loved him. Even during his lengthy battle with kidney failure and cancer, Mark remained hopeful and kind. He was profoundly grateful for every day he was able to spend with those he loved and never wasted an opportunity to let them know how much they meant to him.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will take place Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 2-4 pm at Magnolia House near Cremation Services of East Alabama, located at 733 White Plains Rd., Anniston, Alabama. Friends and attendees are welcome to wear Alabama Football attire.
