Marcia Lynn Israel's Obituary
Marcia Lynn Israel, 77, of Calhoun County, Alabama, completed her earthly journey and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on March 31st 2025.
Marcia was born to Roy and Hazel Butler Moore, alongside her brother, Leroy Moore.
For 24 years, Marcia dedicated herself wholeheartedly to ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ across Mexico, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Honduras. She carried the message of grace and redemption with unwavering faith, touching countless lives through her words and her example.
Marcia’s greatest joy was her family. She was a loving mother to Shane Israel, Rachel (German) Calderon, Benjamin (Adriana) Israel, John Kilgore, and Jeremiah Israel. She poured her wisdom, strength, and love into the next generations, leaving behind a legacy of 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and her sister, Barbara Aaron.
Her life was a testament to the power of grace, the faithfulness of God, and the beauty of a life fully surrendered to His purposes. She finished her race with joy, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
A celebration of her life and ministry will be held on April 4, 2025, where family and friends will gather to honor the remarkable woman she was. The viewing will be from 5 to 6pm and service from 6-7pm at . Casa de Restauración, 4800 AL Hwy 21 N , Piedmont, AL 36272.
Pastor Mark Machen will be speaking at the funeral service. Until we meet again, we rejoice in knowing she is now in the presence of the One she so faithfully served.
