M. D. "Tommy" Mayfield, Jr., age 71, formerly of Alabaster, passed away on February 27, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Mayfield; daughter, Christa Lynn Mayfield of Birmingham; son, Jason Mayfield (Ashleigh) of Sarasota, FL; and 2 granddaughters. Tommy was a retired fireman with the Birmingham Fire Department. He was very active in his local AA group, which was very important to him.
