Lynn Denise Davis' Obituary
Lynn Denise Davis, 71, of Anniston, Alabama passed away May 24, 2026 after a brave two year battle with illness. She was born December 17, 1954 to Charles W. and Mildred Ray.
From Allen: "I lost my girlfriend last Sunday. That girl was my wife for 54 years and my 'going steady' girlfriend for three years before that. She was my best friend, and she loved life and her children, grandchildren, and great grandson more than anything in the world."
Lynn enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling internationally with her husband to Canada, Mexico, and France. She loved her many trips to Puerto Vallarta. She loved to camp, fish, and play cards with friends.
Lynn also worked extremely hard at her many jobs during her career, but she relished the jobs in insurance and law practices the most. She made friends very easily and has maintained those friendships to this day. She liked nice clothes and special jewelry, and always jumped at the chance to get her nails done and her hair fixed. She always looked great no matter what, and she had a smile that could turn your heart in a second and knew how to get what she wanted.
Lynn was a foster parent to lost kids and homeless youth. She had an online jewelry business that was another chance to make friends and renew acquaintances. She loved computer games and solving phone app puzzles. And she loved pets of all kinds. She had dogs and cats, both inside and out. She always picked them out and loved them all dearly.
Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Charles W. Ray Sr. and Mildred Eva Ray. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 54 years, Allen; a son, Matthew Davis (Amy) of Battle Ground, Washington; a daughter, Angela Nance (Brent) of Anniston, Alabama; two brothers, Charles W. Ray Jr. (Orfa Fay "Cookie") of Eolia, Missouri, and Thomas P. Ray of Pittsfield, Illinois; two sisters, Theresa Smith of Pittsfield, Illinois, and Dianne Whiteside (Richard) of New Hope, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Karen Davis of Wedowee, Alabama; her four grandchildren, Hunter Miltenberger and Halle Nance of Anniston, Alabama and Kyle and Nathan Davis of Battle Ground, Washington; her great-grandson Preston Miltenberger of Anniston, Alabama; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lynn will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and she lives on in the memories of cherished loved ones.
