Louis Monroe "Monty" Neely's Obituary
Louis Monroe Neely "Monty", age 73 of Gadsden, passed away on January 5, 2025, at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center in Anniston.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Neely; children, Brian Neely (Michele), Josie Holderfield (Brandon), and William Greene (Jamie); grandchildren, Nicholas, Zachary, Seth, Shelby and Talmadge; and brother, William Robert Neely, Jr. (Freda) of Michigan.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents, William Robert Neely, Sr. and Lillian Neely.
He was an employee of FMC for 22 years and was a journeyman millwright. He enjoyed hunting and was a cattle farmer. Louis was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
