Leonard Neal Abbott Sr.'s Obituary
A memorial service for Mr. Leonard Neal Abbott, Sr., age 73 of Sylacauga, will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Friendship Baptist Church, 3811 Pecan Road, Childersburg, AL 35044. Rev. Danny Posey will officiate.
Mr. Abbott passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Ernestine Abbott; son, Lenard Abbott, Jr.; step sons, Ray and James Kelley; grandchildren, Hunter Abbott, Haley Abbott, Andrew Massey, Amber Kelley, Jacob Kelley and Kristopher Kane; great grandchildren, Anthony Walker, Judith Ava Abbott, and Lucas Massey; sisters, Pat (Jerry) Horn and Jo Landers; and brothers, Terry (Terrie) Abbott and Jimmy (Shirley) Abbott.
Mr. Abbott was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Edgar Abbott and Helen Wilma Roberson Abbott; and brothers, Floyd (Sarah) Abbott, Ralph Abbott , Curtis Abbott and Robert Earl Abbott.
Mr. Abbott was a hard working father and husband. He was a heavy equipment operator by trade and a devoted child of God.
