Larry Eugene Holton's Obituary
Larry Eugene Holton, age 79, a resident of Wedowee, Alabama, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, at Regional Medical Center in Anniston, Alabama, surrounded by his loving family.
Larry was born on January 20, 1947, in Texas to Eugene and Evelyn Holton. He lived a life marked by service, dedication, and love for his family and friends.
Larry proudly served his country in the United States Navy for six years, spending much of his service aboard the USS Enterprise. Following his military service, he enjoyed a long career with The Southern Company before retiring. He was a member of the East Central Alabama Veterans Group.
An avid motorcycle rider, Larry enjoyed the freedom of the open road and the friendships he made along the way. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his devotion to family, and the countless memories he created with those he loved.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Alicia Holton; his children, Jeremy Howard and wife Amber, Erin Meade, and Crystal Howard and husband Anthony Turner; his grandchildren, Allison Meade, Carrington Meade, Lee Holton, Brennen Howard and fiancée Alivia Ward, Anderson Turner and wife Abigail, Emma Howard and husband Miguel Becerra, Ethan Turner, and Elliott Turner; and his great-grandson, Joseph Becerra.
He was preceded in death by his son, Travis Holton; his daughter, Carrie Holton; and his parents, Eugene and Evelyn Holton.
Larry's family finds comfort in knowing that his legacy of love, service, and strength will continue through the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, fellow veterans, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
