I remember Dalton as a supersmart boy- 12, 13 years old throwing out facts about obscure subjects that most people had no clue about! Then growing into a fine young man- invariably happy and upbeat. He was always very generous, often calling to say he had access to one resource or another- and did I want him to pick me up some? He would make stuff, like a trailer, or workbench, etc. and would show off his creations with pride. Always did a good job. My final memory of him will be the last time he stopped by, about a month before he died. We sat up talking about the world's problems till 5 in the morning.... very sad that we can never do that again. Miss him, and grieve for the man he was, and the burdens he didn't share...
