Kenneth Bagley's Obituary
There will be a celebration of life memorial for Kenneth Bagley, 73 of Alexandria on Monday, October 18, 2021 with a visitation from 12-2 and celebration service at 2pm, at Edgewood Methodist Church in Anniston with Reverend Bill Snow and Barry Thompson officiating.
Kenneth Bagley, 73 of Alexandria passed away on October 9, after fighting a 17 year battle with many different types of cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Patricia, his son Kevin (Tonya) and granddaughters Maggie and Marley. Sister-in-law and brother-in-law Pam and Cliff Collins. Brother Kelly Bagley (Ann) and sister, Ginger Bagley. Several nieces and nephews along with many cousins, and fur baby Daisy.
He was preceded in death by his parents A.E. Bagley and Ida Mae Kitchens and his parents-in-law Paul Jr. and Ruth Heifner.
Ken always had a song in his heart and a beat in his step serving as drum major for Saks High School. He had hopes of becoming a music teacher but Uncle Sam called and Ken answered, serving his time in the Army mostly in Germany.
Ken worked for several trucking companies in both Calhoun and Etowah counties. He served for many years as Operations Supervisor for ABF Gadsden/Anniston. After retirement from ABF Ken moved on to Anniston Army Depot, receiving many commendations for his hard work and dedication. While working long hours at his full time jobs Ken also served a Star Route Contractor for the US Post Office for 38 years.
He was a member of Edgewood Methodist Church and while able loved to sing in the church choir.
Ken was a skilled mechanic with a love tools. He was often called upon by friends and family to repair lawn mowers, trucks, and cars.
Ken loved Alabama Football along with his friends and family deeply, including lifelong best friends Glenn and Patsy Tankersly and special cousin Jerry Wayne Bagley.
The family would like to thank Drs. Kaleem, Sudhan, and Reiland for their care. A special thank you to Oxford Encompass Hospice with many thanks and blessings to Jennifer, Hanna, and Anita for their exceptional care and support.
