Judy Ann Turner's Obituary
Judy Ann Turner, age 73 of Anniston passed away on Monday, February 27th at her home.
Judy was born on January 14th, 1950 to Curtis and Mindrel Turner. An avid reader, she graduated from Alexandria High School, was a member of El Bethel Christian Assembly and retired from the United States Postal Service in 2011. Over her 73 years, Judy became a well-known fixture in town becoming “mama” to an entire community of children. She remained a steadfast friend and confidant to everyone she knew.
She is survived by her children, Dustin Fraser of Wellington, Sherry (Paul) Sparks of Jacksonville; Kayla Ramsey of Anniston, grandchildren, Dylan Raney of Anniston, Kiara (Greg) Lathem of Alexandria, Arrianna Fraser of Wellington; her great grandson is Brantley Lathem; her mother, Mindrel Turner of Alexandria; brothers, Marcal Turner of Alexandria, Terry (Debra) Turner of Oxford; sister, Shirley (Ben) Blackmon of Alexandria; nephews, Steven (Tracy) Howard of Alexandria, Jerrod (Brooke) Bean of Anniston, Cameron Turner of Oxford; nieces, Brandi (Neal) Smith of Lincoln, Summer Turner of Alexandria, Kelly Howard of Wisconsin, Jessica (Blake) Spears of Anniston, five great nephews, five great nieces, one great-great nephew, and one great-great niece. A special grandson, Gage Wilkerson of Anniston, and one special granddaughter, Brandi McComb of Oxford.
Preceding her in death are Jerry Fraser; father, Curtis Turner; sister, Barbara (Phillip) Stevens; nephew Jason Bean; a great niece, a great nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Judy will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Cremation Services of East Alabama Chapel, 733 White Plains Road, Anniston, AL 36207, with Pastor Jeremy Tuiolosega officiating.
