Joyce DeBene's Obituary
Joyce DeBene, 77, of Gadsden, Alabama passed away on May 7, 2024 at her home. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and sister. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory is her sons, Gerald Anthony (Nikita) DeBene, and Aaron Nicholas DeBene. She also leaves behind seven brothers, and two grandchildren, R.J. DeBene, and Patrick DeBene.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Laura Alameda.
Joyce was a born again Christian woman who loved her church family at Freedom Church in Gadsden. Back home, she was a Special Education teaching aid in the Brentwood City Schools in Brentwood, California. She was an avid traveler and doll collector and she had a special affection toward her gnomes which dotted her home and yard. She sewed frequently and was always working on reading her next book. She always offered the people in her life her unforgettable smile and warmth.
