Joseph Charles D'Anna's Obituary
Joseph Charles D’Anna, age 69, passed away on March 24, 2025. He was born on July 27, 1955, in Birmingham, AL.
Joey was a Veteran of the U.S. NAVY who served his country honorably. He worked many years as a truck driver and an environmental specialist before pursuing his true passion of becoming a local photographer. He was known for his kindness, generosity, humor, and his deep love for his faith, family, and friends. He was a friend to all, a man who valued relationships and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need.
He dedicated his life to Making Memories. His true joy came from time spent with family. He was lovingly known by many as, “Deddy, Joey, PawPaw, and JoJo". His commitment to his family was unwavering, and his legacy will live on through the countless memories he leaves behind.
He is survived by his three loving children; Casey D’Anna (Kerry), Cody D’Anna (Kailey), Kayle D’Anna – Craft (Logan) his grandchildren; Kylie Kiker, Keeley Wills, Kason Kiker, and Josie Craft. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that are like family.
He was greeted at the gates of Heaven by his father, Joseph Thomas D’Anna, mother Hazel Ruth D’Anna, sisters Terry Ann Wills and Mary Ruth D’Anna, and brother Michael (Mike) Anthony D’Anna.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 28, 2025 in the Magnolia Room of Cremation Services of East Alabama, located at 733 White Plains Rd Anniston, AL 36207, from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
Joey’s memory will live on in the lives he touched, the lessons he taught, and the enduring relationships he built over his lifetime. His presence will be a void we could never fill. You will live in our hearts forever. We love you.
