Joseph V Czik's Obituary
Graveside services for Mr. Joseph V. Czik, age 76 of Eastaboga, will be held at 2:45 PM on Friday, February 24, 2023, at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo. Mr. Czik passed away on February 19, 2023.
He is survived by his son, Matthew Sean Czik; daughter, Tara Kelley Pittman (Jeffrey Pittman); grandchildren, Ryan Czik, Hope Czik, Hannah Frailey (Wyatt Frailey), Lauren Steele (Dalton Tucker) and Katelyn Steele; and great grandchildren, Camden Frailey, Jewell Frailey, John Frailey, Benny Frailey, Conway Tucker, Staley Tucker and Landon Parrott.
Mr. Czik was drafted into the Army in 1967 and served two years. He spent one year in Vietnam serving with the 4th Division 75th Ranger Regiment L.R.R.P. Team (Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol). He came back home and went to Troop Tech Vocational School for two years, taking machine shop and welding. He attended two years at Gadsden State Junior College. He went to work for Anniston Army Depot and retired after 30 years as a Tool Work Inspector.
