Joel “Joe” Richard Spears Sr., 66, of Weaver Alabama, passed away on April 6, 2026, at his home. He was born on September 21, 1959. There will be a visitation held in the Magnolia House at Cremation Services of East Alabama on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM. There will be a service following the visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. Rev. Jeanette Fisher will be officiating the service.
Mr. Spears Sr. is survived by his wife Sandra Spears; daughter Amanda Pate (Daniel Pate); son Richard Spears (Natasha Bolden); mother Margarete Spears; siblings Danny Spears (Barbara), Brenda Spears (Ned), Judy Garcia (Alex), David Spears (Evangeline), Jimmy Spears; grandchildren Hayley Pate, Brooklyn Pate, Hannah Pate; great-grandchildren Alicia Hester and Samaria Pate. Joel enjoyed fishing and camping with family and loved to watch Jimmy Swaggart Ministries “The Classics”, they were his favorite.
He is preceded in death by his father Arthur Russell Spears and his brother Donald Wayne Spears.
