Jimmy Payton's Obituary
Mr. Jimmy Payton, 81, of Eastaboga passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 17, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.
Mr. Payton was a lifelong resident of Talladega County. He was born on November 16, 1944. He held many positions over his lifetime; Anchor Metal, Anniston Sportswear, Magic Chef, and Fabarc Steel, to which he retired from.
He is survived by his brother William Payton of Ohatchee as well as several nieces & nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Levi & Annie Payton; brothers John Payton, Levi Payton Jr., Charles Payton; sisters Frances Adams, Dorothy Studdard, and Mamie Nunnelly.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to his nurses & caregivers from Gentiva Home Health Care for all their compassion & care the past year. Also, to Diane McConathy for the compassion & care she has shown to him over the past several months as well.
