Jessie Mae White's Obituary
On the twenty-eighth of July, 2026, Jessie Mae White passed away at the age of 86 at home, surrounded by family.
Jessie Mae was born on October 11, 1939 in Anniston, Alabama and this is where she spent the rest of her life raising a family. She loved Elvis Presley gospel music and was a talented cook - she made all holiday meals without breaking a sweat. You could always count on Jessie Mae's kindness. She wore her heart on her sleeve and lived ready to embrace friends, family, and strangers alike. She was very easy to love and very hard to lose, but she leaves behind an enduring legacy of hope and happiness.
She is survived by her loving husband, Clarence White; her two devoted sons, Michael and Ronald White; two beloved daughters-in-law, Wendy and Michelle White; her grandchildren, Chase, Jason, Riley, Haley White and Morgan Snellgrove; and her precious great-grandchildren: Peter and Thomas White and Nora Snellgrove. She is preceded in death by her parents Willie and Gracie Mae Burgess.
A memorial service to celebrate Jessie Mae's life will be held on Friday, July 31st, 2026, at 11:00 am at Cremation Services of East Alabama, located at 733 White Plains Road, Anniston, Alabama.
The family would like to give thanks to Anniston Health and Rehab and the nurses, aides, and counselors of Enhabit Home Health, who helped made her final moments as comfortable as possible.
In lieu of flowers, please send prayers and blessings. The family will plant a tree in her memory.
"Her ways are pleasant ways,
and all her paths, peaceful.
She is a tree of life to those who grasp her,
and whoever holds on to her is happy."
Proverbs 3:17-18
