Jesse Thomas Elders III's Obituary
On Friday, January 6 th , 2023, Jesse Thomas Elders, III of Munford, Alabama, passed away at his
residence in Heflin, Alabama.
A private memorial service will be held on January 21 st at 2 p.m. at the Cremation Services of
East Alabama located at 733 White Plains Road, Anniston, Alabama. The family will hold
private arrangements afterwards.
J.T. was born on October 24 th , 1955, in Tacoma, Washington, and graduated from Munford High
School in 1973. He is preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Ann Elders, his father, Jesse T. Elders, Jr., his grandson Jesse Elijah Martin and step-son Jarred L. Smith.
He is survived by his daughters: Amie M. Barker (Jeremy), Melissa L. McDonald (Duke), Jessica Elders Turley (Jeremy), Becca Elders (Brandon Strange), Raina Elders (Alex Smith), Rachel Elders (Anthony Taylor), step-son Jordan G. Smith, several grandchildren, a great-grandson, his siblings, Mark Elders (Gina), Gary Elders (Jill), Debbie Wells (Jimmy) and Connie Abernathy (Barry), and several nieces &
nephews.
J.T. was a devoted and loving father, stepfather, Pawpaw, brother & son.
He loved cooking outdoors on his grill, playing music with his friends, spending time with his
loved ones, going to gun shows and riding his motorcycle. He worked for Harley-Davidson at
the Talladega Test Facility for 10+ years and gained many friends along the way. He later
worked at International Enterprises in Talladega and retired from there in 2022.
J.T. will always be loved & never forgotten.
