Jennifer Green Murphy's Obituary
Jennifer Green Murphy, lovingly known as "Jenny," was born on December 11, 1961, in Jackson County, Florida. She passed peacefully with her family by her side on December 12, 2025, at AdventHealth Redmond Hospital in Rome, Georgia.
Jenny was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother—affectionately called MyJenny—sister, and cherished friend. She graduated from Eatonton High School in Eatonton, Georgia. Growing up, she traveled and lived in several states before ultimately putting down roots in Eastaboga, Alabama, where she met the love of her life, Bryant.
Jenny worked in the insurance industry for many years before illness led her to retire, allowing her to focus on her home and supporting her husband. She found joy in crafts, thrifting, and, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Bryant Murphy; her daughter, Samantha Hill (Skyler); and her step-sons, Greg Murphy (Delissa), Gary Murphy (Tracie), and Chris Murphy (Dara); her sister, Dianne Watts.
She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Kasey Lathem (Justin), Cody Murphy (Taylor), Dusty Murphy (Haley), Jordan Murphy (Heather), Annalee Duke (Caleb), Reed Murphy (Maddie), Merissa Hill, Rhyatt Hill, and Murphy Rhett Hill; as well as seven great-grandchildren.
Additional survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Jenny was preceded in death by her parents, C. M. Green and Meloree Green; her brother, Travis Barfield; her sister, Sandra Spradlin; and her step-son, Brett Murphy.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Jenny will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her creativity, and the deep love she had for her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
"I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in Me will never die." — John 11:25–26
