Jeanne Howell Jordan beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend age 70 passed away on May 31, 2021 at Regional Medical Center in Anniston Al. She was born on December 1, 1950 in Des Moines, Iowa to Clayton and Nina Howell.
She grew up in Jacksonville Alabama and graduated Jacksonville High School in 1968. After high school she attended Jacksonville State University where she received a bachelor's degree in liberal arts and a certificate in accounting eventually becoming a CPA. She worked for the City of Jacksonville Alabama as the City Clerk for 17 years until her retirement.
Jeanne Jordan married John Edward Jordan III (Ed) in 1974 in Jacksonville Alabama. They were happily married for 39 years.
Jeanne Jordan is survived by her daughter Holly Jordan of Jacksonville Alabama. Her brother Andy Howell of Jacksonville Al. Her sister in law Martha Jordan Scott of Columbus GA. Her niece Katie Scott Watson and husband Zack and 2 great nephews. Her nephew Jordan Scott and wife April. Her Nephews Robert Chabot and wife Bonnie and their children Bryan and Evan and their children. Her nephew Michael Chabot and Tracy and their children Christopher and Elisabeth. Step sister Betty Bailey of Florida, and step brother Jimmy Sullivan and wife Brenda of Mississippi.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ed Jordan, and brother in law Bob Jordan and sister in law Nancy Jordan Chabot and husband Ralph Chabot. Her sister Karen Vancleave and her husband Robert. Her father Clayton Howell and Mother Nina Howell Sullivan and stepfather Pat Sullivan. Her mother in law Miriam Porch Jordan.
No service. Please do something kind for your neighbor and help your community and keep paying it forward. She will be missed but it is a comfort to know she is back with the good Lord and her family.
