JC Clay's Obituary
Mr. JC Clay, age 83 of Rainbow City, passed away on November 27, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Helen Clay; children and step children who considered him as more than a stepfather: Gaylon Clay, John DiGangi, Dominic DiGangi (Jerilyn), and Marlene DiGangi; grandchild, Dylan DiGangi; siblings, Ed Clay (Betty), Judy Works, Johnny Clay (Debra), Jack Clay (Margie), Joan Crawford (Johnny), Joe Clay, Deborah Bowman (Jerry) and Betsy Williams; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Clay was preceded in death by his parents, K.G. Clay and Gladys Irene Clay; and sister, Jane Greenlee.
He was the owner of Clay Glass Company and was a hard worker. He enjoyed talking to people and never met a stranger. He was an Alabama fan, "Roll Tide". In his earlier years, he and his wife loved to go dancing at the Wilson's Supper Club where they spent many wonderful hours together. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Williams Southside Funeral Home, 1009 Highway 77, Southside, AL 35907.
