Janie Murray Butler's Obituary
Janie Murray Butler, age 80, of Saks, AL passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Indiana on February 19, 1942 to Dorothy and Levi (W.L.) Murray.
She is survived by her daughter Kim Butler, her grandchildren Miranda (David) Pearce, Alexis Butler, Kiyra Butler, and DaCarlose Jordan, one adopted granddaughter, Destiny Woodard, one great-grandson, Jayson Pearce, one brother, Wallace (Jackie) Murray, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also nanny to everyone who entered her house. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 47 years, Max Butler, and one brother, Tommy Murray.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Anniston’s First Baptist Church at McClellan, 851 Morton Road, Anniston, AL, where Mrs. Butler was a faithful member.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Lorena Phillips, her nurses Jessica, Debbie, and Charli, and to the staff at Amedisys Hospice and Home Health. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Anniston’s First Baptist Church at McClellan in Mrs. Butler’s memory.
