James Benjamin Watson's Obituary
James Benjamin “Benny” Watson, 68, of Anniston, Al passed away Monday, September 8, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 46 years, Carolita Paris Watson; their sons, Joseph (Kaysie) Watson, and Shane (Tara) Reeves. His grandchildren, Tianna Reeves, Braxton Watson, and Brooklynn Watson. His siblings; Janie (Jerry) Frankin, Pat (Dave) Lehr, Susan Spivey and Allen Kennedy. Also, his sister-in-law Janis (Terry) Sides, a bonus son, Richard (Avery) Culver. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews and special friends Jamie Green, Andrew Sankey, Chris Washington, Carla Jones and Cheyene Yancey.
Benny is preceded in death by his parents Helen and Johnny Watson; his in Mother and Father-in-law, Ellen and Charlie Paris, brother in laws, Charlie Spivey and Bobby Paris.
Benny was an Anniston native who graduated from Walter Wellborn High School. He was an avid fisherman and never missed the opportunity to be on the river to cast a few lines. He was a kind, loving man who will be treasured forever.
